Gartner suggests that Vistex’s new approach to enterprise software design should be emulated “for all things built on SAP”.
I couldn’t agree more.
There are so many options out there when building custom add-ons for SAP: Web Dynpro Java, Web Dynpro ABAP, BSP, CRM UI, Portal’s various options, SAP Mobile Platform, and don’t even get me started on the Business Objects suite, and finally SAPUI5.
One thing that is really becoming clear is that the user experience should be simple and responsive (work on desktops, tablets, and phones). Who has time to learn yet another enterprise application that only works on PC’s?

It seems like the enterprise is slowly starting to figure this out, and hopefully Fiori and these HTML5 apps are the answer that everyone’s been looking for.
